Welcome to The Affiliate Journal, this site is a walk through of my journey being an online marketer. There has been a lot of talk around the subject of affiliate/e-commerce marketing, but from my personal experience there has never been someone to literally go through all the steps, all the real struggles, all the costs, and commitment that actually lead to success. So I decided to step up to the plate and expose the factual vs. the myths, because nowadays there is information on the subject left and right, and by taking a quick look, most of them are out to take every last penny you have possible. By putting the B.S. aside, we can work on using systems and programs that actually are worth spending your time and money on.

There is nothing worse than spending thousands of dollars with a company or person that promised you the world, yet under delivered with content and credibility. Trust me, I’ve been a part of many marketing endeavors myself, and I was tired of being made big promises with little to no return even after spending the time and effort. Throughout this journey, my goal is to inform my audience with the right tools, influence, motivation, and passion to spring forward into growing their own successful business by documenting all my progress from A to Z (wherever Z lands..)
I started with affiliate marketing not to long ago, and to give a little background I will share you a glimpse of my life, my struggle, and what influenced me to take the entrepreneurial journey. Being completely honest in everything I am about to share with you, leaving skepticism aside, let’s take a peek into Brandon’s life. So stick around, the read will be worth it, I guarantee it.

Looking A Few Years Back

Growing up I was always told that I was ambitious and creative, yet I lacked the basic educational system requirements. I was constantly failing classes and to be honest, school just never really interested me. I was always doodling in class and my mind was always drifting away from the subject at hand. It did not matter whether it was math, English, history, or science, I just always grew up knowing and thinking to my self that I was just not good at “school”. Fast forwarding, I did end up graduating from high school and heading off to a community college because I just didn’t know if I wanted to continue going to school. From early on I knew that there was much more to life than just going to school, getting a degree, going into a job in whatever field, saving up and retiring around age 65. Now, I know plenty of you have heard that spiel before, but it related to me such..

I tried many things growing up, I worked part-time and attempted to take a shot at an MLM company. Since I was completely new at the “real world”, I pretty much believed anything that was said to me. As being naive as I was, I got the short end of the stick. As soon as I finished the initial set up of my account and began to hunt for prospects, I received little to no help from my “up line”, and I was very frustrated, as MLM business require support from the up line to even considered doable. Sure I could have looked it all up online and made self progress, but after being turned off by the fact that I felt robbed essentially, It completely turned my outlook on MLM upside down. Now I am not saying MLM is a bad business, but be careful of who you choose to mentor you.

Shortly after I ended my MLM journey, I found my self working for a wireless carrier selling phones and making good commissions at the time. I honestly believed that’s were my life was going to end up, working and moving up in the company (it seemed very promising at the time) and earning a decent wage as I progressed throughout the company. However, with a bigger wage than I had before, I made my first biggest financial mistake that still haunts me till this day…

With more money in my pocket, I felt unstoppable, I went out to eat almost every day and spent my money thinking there was more on the way. Now what really got me, and as much as I regret it, I really learned my lesson. I went on to open up multiple credit cards thinking that I would be able to pay them back no problem. Of course, in the short term everything went by smoothly, and I became overly confident and went on to purchase my first vehicle on a car loan. I purchased a 2013 BMW with monthly installments of $500, and $300 on insurance.. crazy right? who in the right mind..

As I treaded the waters fine for a couple months, the company I was working for decided to change up their commission structure and plans, which lead to disaster. My paycheck was literally cut into a sixth, and I felt the impact of all the debt collecting dramatically. I then realized the power of credit cards, and if used irresponsibly, it could be a dramatic toll on not only your income, but your life as well. That is when I decided to start my own business, and I was focused on running a side business fixing phones and computers thinking I could supplement my initial income. Shortly after I realized that the debt had stacked so high above my head, I experienced “drowning in debt”.

Every morning I would wake up to multiple missed calls and voicemails from debt collectors, and if you’ve ever been there or are there now, you can imagine the immediate stress that’s placed on your shoulders shortly after waking up. After so many calls throughout the day, I ended up blocking most of them but they always call back with a different number. What really made it worse, was the fact that I literally saw my credit score go from upper 700’s to the 500’s… I was devastated because I knew in the back of my mind I would not be able to get a decent loan on anything anymore. Trying move out of my parents home would be extremely challenging and the longer I dwelt on that fact, the more anxious and scared I became. Terrified to present my mistakes to parents (because I’ve always tried to do everything on my own) I took matters into my own hands and decided that that was not going to destroy me, but instead find a way out and become the successful entrepreneur I wanted to be…

On a rainy night, working a closing shift at work, I was casually browsing YouTube while completing the end of day tasks, when an advertisement popped up. This advertisement was not only very attention grabbing, it was very interesting as I’d never seen anything like it and I was drawn in. It was advertising a link to a webinar that specified on the theory of making money online. To be completely honest I was very skeptical as anyone would right? But I decided to give it a chance, and thank goodness I did… The information presented to me made sense, even though I never have even thought about making money online, nonetheless research what it was all about.

To not get into too much detail about the actually proven programs that I’ve taken on in this “about me” post, I will be sharing the strategies that I used from the start to get me where I am today, by fully documenting everything about my internet marketing journey. As mentioned, there are tons of internet gurus out there that promise success and wealth, but what about the underdogs? The genuine people out there that are truly trying to help others? Well I consider myself just that, I want to show all my readers that success doesn’t need a fancy house or car in the background to prove their wealth (I mean eventually we’ll get there right?) by starting from ground zero.

Only The Beginning To Something Great

As I write this I have only just begun my affiliate marketing journey, and I as mentioned before I will be documenting and sharing all my progress as I continue to learn and grow. All in an effort in hopes to inspire you to take a step forward from your current financial situation and grow alongside of me in achieving true financial freedom. As aspiring entrepreneurs, “we must be willing to do what others won’t, to live a life that others can’t”

With all this being said, I invite everyone to follow my page and my YouTube channel, for I will constantly be posting new information weekly of what I’ve learned and made progress with. Being fully transparent is key here, no games, no B.S because I aim to become your credible source for anything internet marketing.
