What drives someone to do the things they do? Could it be desire for something… something like money for example? Everyone at one point in time has experienced the necessity for money, whether it is used to pay the bills, eat, or simply purchase something, the need for money has been around longer than you or I. I found myself in a position where I fell short to purchase all of those things, and with the stress level that I might not be able to break that cycle. For whatever reason your desire for money may be, there never seems to be an appropriate solution. Not until now at least…

I was working a closing shift at my job and just before the hour to close hit, I was casually browsing YouTube when a very interesting ad popped up. Now usually I skip these ads (because who likes ads right?), but for some reason I really caught my attention.
But before I mention what this ad was about, let me be clear that I had zero knowledge about what affiliate marketing was. I made an impulse decision to watch the ad and follow the steps that followed after.

This advertisement was from my now mentor and motivator, Keala Kanae. As I followed through with the clear instruction to join a webinar, I was very intrigued by what he was saying. Now I won’t go into too much detail about what he proposed, because honesty I wouldn’t be able to replicate it nearly as well, but I will leave a very detailed review/deep dive on it.

There were about 98 people on this webinar if I remember correctly, and it was very engaging and very promising. I did what you could say “make an impulse decision” and decided to take the next step. After closing up shop, I went home and immediately logged on with the details provided in the webinar. It brought me to a program called AWOL Academy.

Baby Steps

Upon entering and setting up my account, I was introduced to a very detailed step-by-step guidance that tapped into my brain. I was engaging with the material very well, and I felt like it brought the best in me out, by defining what was meaningful to me and why I wanted a change in career. This is were I felt the change in mindset from 9to5 to Entrepreneur.

I placed in a position were I had to think about my goals, were I wanted to be. I was asked what my ambitions were, and how I wanted to achieve them. What really stuck me was “If you could price on your dreams, what would that be?”.
I was introduced to the 5 pillars of success (which I will go into full detail in my AWOL Review), but these 5 pillars basically are what every successful entrepreneur does. Within this past month and a half, I’ve been applying these principles and following them daily to my best ability. I am constantly learning and growing, gradually thinking more with a mindset focused on success.

Growing, Growing, Growing

Since that day forward, I have been applying myself to learn or accomplish something new towards my goal every day. After casually browsing other people with great success stories, I failed to see anyone document their progresses from A to Z, or “the beginning to end*”. Now I clearly understand that not everyone wants to share their success “secrets”, but what good does that do the majority of us. So I took upon myself to stand out, and branch out and help other internet marketers grow based off my personal progress, my do’s and don’t’s, what’s worked and what hasn’t.

With this is mind, I started TheAffiliateJournal.com, so others can join me in building a successful full-time income online.

I will be adding much more content as I continue forward such as, blog posts, vlogs on YouTube, Facebook page posts, and other forms of social media. I invite everyone to follow and comment as you please on where you are, and where I can be of assistance to you!

Where I am Today

Today as I write this (09/27/17) I have completed the first 3 modules inside AWOL Academy, and the first 2 modules in Wealthy Affiliate. I have successfully taken very detailed notes inside AWOL, and have a full understanding of what is explained in Wealthy Affiliate. I will note that both of these programs are the same in a lot of ways, but very different in the approach and level of necessary dedication and commitment to become successful. I will be doing a side-by-side comparison on both in the upcoming days, so you can choose which one you think is best for you. (Or if you’re like me, you do both and grow your business from the inside and outside).
Since this is only the beginning, I can’t say I’ve made tons of money, but what I can say is I’ve learned so much in so little time. The information given in either program, you could never learn in any school and that’s a fact.

Within the next month, I will be flying out to Vegas for AWOL’s Awaken event, and I will document everything. If you haven’t heard about what that is, there is a reason. However, I’ll tell you this much, there will be many successful CEO’s presenting and collaborating ideas, motivation, stories, and other tips to help grow your personal business. It is highly valued information, and I will do my best to share it with you, so stay tuned.
